When You See the Farthest

Posted By on September 30, 2010

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light… —Isaiah 9:2

A teacher asked his class at the beginning of the first day, ”When can you see farther? In daytime or at night?”

“You can see farther in the daytime of course” Was the unanimous reply.

“No,” He responded. “That is wrong. In the daytime… you can only see the sun. But at night you can see the stars, which are millions of times farther away.”

When things are darkest… sometimes… we see things BETTER.

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within. Do you have that inner light?
