FULFILL YOUR MINISTRY

Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it. —Colossians 4:17

God has given every Christian a “ministry.” Paul called it our “reasonable service” (Rom. 12:1). Reasonable means it is expected. It is what God expects out of His children. God is NOT unreasonable in asking us to serve Him.

Ministry is giving when you feel like keeping, praying for others when you need to be prayed for… serving others when you want to be served yourself… living truth before people even when you can’t see results… hurting with other people even when your own hurt can’t be spoken… keeping your commitment even when it is not convenient… it is being faithful when your flesh wants to run away.

“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not” (2 Cor. 4:1).
